"First off, who are you?"

My name is Casey, and I am me.  Kind of rude of you to just barge in here asking questions in that tone, don't you think?

I am, among other things, and aspiring writer.  I have wanted to write as a career for as long as I can remember.  Although people have constantly told me that it wasn't a worthy endeavor, a small bit of me has always believed that I had what it took to do it.

"Okay.  So what is this?"

There you go again with those questions.  Seriously man, you're really darkening the aura of the place.

For a while now, I have been writing 750 words every couple of days as a way to get my thoughts out, and really just get my brain working in a more creative way.  While this is useful, I find that most of the stuff I write tends to useless garbage.  I am the only one who will ever see it, so why bother.  Aside from that, if I just write it all in private, I am never building any online work for people to see.

So, here I will be attempting to post a daily writing of around 600 words.  Some days it will be less, and some days it will be more.  Some days, you may not see me.  You see, I am very important.  Sometimes the local police departments call me in to help solve their cold cases.  

"Wait.  So you are actually making it easier on yourself?  What a slacker!"

Come on!  Now you're just being mean!

I am reducing the word count down to 600.  I am doing this because I want for the writing that I put here to be more cohesive, and well written.  I could easily fill the page up with 750 words of mediocre writing that nobody wants to read, but that is what I was doing in private.

Some things I may look into doing, as this little project proceeds, is serials, short stories, and the like.  I may come back and revisit portions of things I write and expand on them.  Who knows what crazy and zany shenanigans I may find myself getting into.
